Factors Affecting Adhesion Performance

Facestock: We use a BOPP (Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene) facestock for durability.

Adhesive: Our new and improved Standard Plus adhesive has been tested and is suitable for most horticulture applications. We also have an Ultra-aggressive adhesive for extreme application conditions.

Liner: Paper or PET options. Paper is ideal for hand applying (easy to tear). PET is ideal for machine applying (resists breaking).

Standard Adhesion Testing

Two basic tests to evaluate adhesion performance:

90° Peel Adhesion: Measures the bonding strength of an adhesive to the target substrate

Loop Tack: Measures the initial grab or tack of an adhesive on the target substrate

Practical Adhesion Testing

Substrate Adhesion Test: Labels should stick and stay on substrates, textured surfaces, and curved shapes. For Removable applications, label should be removed cleanly without any residue or substrate damage.

Label Storage

Labels, much like us, prefer to be stored in moderate conditions. The optimal temperature range for storing and applying labels is between 60˚ to 77˚F, with a relative humidity of around 50%. If you store your labels at these ideal conditions, simply move the labels to a temperature-controlled space at least 24 hours before application. This will allow the adhesive to return to its optimal state, ensuring an ideal application process.

My Print works with C6000A, C6500A, C7500, and C8000. Note: C7500 has been discontinued by Epson, but still supported through My Print.
